Researching and combating global warming

Climate change will have far-reaching consequences, especially in Würzburg and for northern Bavaria as a whole in the coming decades. In order to better understand these consequences and, if possible, to mitigate them, the research project “The Maintal project (MainPro) - ecosystem-based solutions for risk scenarios in the Franconian Maintal” was launched. We are very pleased to be part of the project and to be able to contribute our data science expertise over the next four years. For the successful application of the project, we would particularly like to congratulate Professor Birgit Terhorst from the Institute of Geography and Geology at the University of Würzburg and all others. We are looking forward to exciting insights, a lively exchange, and successful cooperation for a continued environment and nature worth living in!
